Title: Technical Sales I

Reports to: Chris Newingham

FLSA: Exempt

Status : Salaried

Mission

Serve as the primary technical support and sales assistant to customers, distributors and anyone who calls Clemco to ensure they receive outstanding assistance and support. Go above and beyond to make the end-user experience positive.

Essential Duties

  • Use phones, email and other technology to help customers, distributors, channel partners and other callers achieve their goals.

  • When needed, help the caller define the Job to be Done (JTBD).

  • Assist distributors and end users in selecting appropriate solutions to address the job to be done

  • With resources and the support of the Sales team, serve as a technical assistant providing insight into how Clemco’s systems, products and shipping works.

  • Assist customers with quotations, orders and shipments, resolving any issues as needed.

  • Serve as the liaison between Clemco, Channel Partners, Distributors, Customers, and end users.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for smaller distributors

  • Enter orders into Clemco systems, expedite and follow-up on orders via phone or email

  • Address and resolve disputes and problems relating to shipping and/or functional problems with products.

  • Provide end-user lead information to marketing for referral to distributors and give callers appropriate distributor contact information

  • Process customer returns

  • May process and coordinate international shipments

  • Provide quotes for semi/modified-standard products and non-standard replacement items

  • Address technical questions

  • Other duties as prudent or assigned

Responsibilities of All Sales Team Members

  • Effectively collaborate with value stream and functional leadership to ensure alignment with overall business priorities.

  • Work collaboratively and actively with the sales (demand creation) team to support other members of the team.

  • Engage with all of Clemco in pursuit of their overall strategic goals, specifically with engineering, manufacturing, marketing and product managers.

  • Internally and externally reinforce the One Clemco culture and values: transparency, open dialogue and respect.

  • Ensure quality concerns are addressed promptly and transparently, including the end user in the conversation about how the problem is being corrected and will be prevented in the future.

  • Analyze revenue, end user and distributor data/trends; make recommendations for improvements and share internally as appropriate.

Prerequisites

  • 2 years' minimum experience in Sales (demand creation) within a manufacturing environment utilizing an indirect sales approach

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience
