Application Engineer

  • The Applications Engineer supports sales, engineering, and end-users by providing technical expertise in abrasive air blast processes, equipment selection, and surface preparation requirements. This role evaluates customer applications, recommends appropriate blasting media, equipment, and process parameters, and ensures proposed solutions meet surface requirements, production targets, and the customers’ the Job to Be Done (JTBD). The Applications Engineer clearly communicate recommendations through proposals and general arrangement (GA) drawings, including presentations when needed. This position serves as a subject-matter expert for both manual and automated blasting systems, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.

    • Proactive problem solver. Identifies customer pain points and crafts high value solutions that improve processes, meet commitment dates, and proactively support customer needs.

    • Growth Strategy: Develops project estimates and proposals aligned to strategic markets and desired customers. Brings analytical thinking and strategic insight to the business.

    • Continuous Improvement Focus: Acts as a change agent with a process-first mindset. Encourages analytical thinking, anticipates opportunities and offers thoughtful recommendations for improving performance and productivity.

    • Integral part of Project Management team: partner with field sales to prioritize, opportunities  and deliver on value propositions.

    • Collaborates closely with engineering and manufacturing to align offerings with design build, and strategic standards

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field

    • 3+ years’ experience in a LEAN manufacturing environment preferred

    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD

    • Ability to read technical specifications

    • Experience writing compelling proposals, and estimating costs for custom engineered equipment solutions

    • Excellent critical thinking skills, and ability to analyze information from multiple sources.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations and technical communication

    • Understanding of Clemco/abrasive blasting products and surface preparation (preferred)

    • Communicating with employees and customers (speaking and listening)

    • Sitting for extended periods

    • Ability to learn, comprehend, and retain instructions

    • Ability to maintain focus for extended periods of time

    • Written communication with Distributors and customers

    • Participation in meetings with Clemco and customer teams during opportunity management

    • Effective use of technology to communicate

    • Travel to Customer locations up to 25%

    • Face to face meetings with customers to define JTBD, and gather technical information

    • Willingness to engage in constructive conflict to arrive at win/win solutions.

Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist

  • A Continuous Improvement Specialist will be a leader for change, an educator of CI, and a supporter of teams to remove waste and improve flow at Clemco.

    • Implement and support sustainment of 5S throughout the organization

    • Educate and support teams with the development and revision of Standard Work

Systems Admin. / Application Developer

  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Administrator/Application Developer. This person will be the primary Help Desk Technician that will provide technical support to our staff and administer key server systems to ensure availability. In this role, you will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, assist end-users with technology challenges, and maintain IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also develop reports and perform application development. This person is organized, customer-focused, and able to work independently while collaborating with the IT team to implement solutions, improve processes, and contribute to IT projects. The primary role for this position is System Administration with an approximate 80% - 20% split.

    • Serve as the primary contact for all end-user help desk support issues

    • Install and configure new PC’s, Raspberry Pi’s and printers

    • Create user accounts and manage network access

    • Perform management and maintenance to Microsoft 365 environment

    • Manage Active Directory and network infrastructure

    • Monitor and maintain cybersecurity solutions

    • Verify backup strategies and restore data as needed

    • Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets

    • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports using our BI tools

    • Implement ERP customizations and enhancements to support business processes

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

    • Three to five years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of two years of hands-on hardware and software troubleshooting

    • Working Knowledge of Active Directory

    • Strong understanding of Windows desktop and Server operating systems

    • Familiarity with virtual server environments

    • Hardware and software troubleshooting

    • Basic networking knowledge

    • Adaptability and willingness to learn

    • Report writing experience using a BI tool

    • Experience with SQL, C# or similar language

    • Experience working with Infor SyteLine ERP system or similar is a plus

    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

    • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills

    • Ability to prioritize tasks under competing demands

Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving

  • The Shipping team member will have responibilities in Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse to meet the needs of Clemco customers.

    • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality

    • Reliable with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

    • Team-oriented with a willingness to help others succeed

    • Ability to lift approximately 50–75 lbs. with appropriate assistance

    • Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused in an active environment

    • Forklift experience is a strong plus. Experience operating powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment is highly valued. Training and certification are provided.
