Position Details

Role: Shipping Team Member

Job is: Hourly/Full-time/OT and Benefits eligible

Summary: Shipping/receiving/warehouse work to meet the needs of internal customers and Clemco customers.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK MAY INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • Supports and fosters a safe environment for self & team

  • Participates in 5S & Safety initiatives

  • Picks parts from warehouse to fill orders for internal and external customers

  • Packs orders and processes in computer

  • Loads and unloads trucks with the appropriate material handling equipment

  • Operates a stand-up and sit down lift truck, electric pallet jack, other material handling equipment

  • Puts away materials from receiving into designated pick/storage locations

  • Refills pick locations as needed and pulls items as requested

  • Moves materials to appropriate areas of manufacturing throughout plant

  • Collaborates with the Team to meet daily demand

  • Seeks out and implements continuous quality improvements

  • Participates in root cause analysis and other problems solving events

  • May work in other areas from time to time as needed

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Requires moderate to heavy physical demand lifting a range of 5-75 pounds with appropriate assistance, tools and equipment.

  • Stand/walk continuously through the shift.

  • Visual and mental acuity and attention to detail.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Verbal communication skills.

  • Job is inside, but area is not climate controlled as bay doors are open periodically throughout the day. Protective equipment such as safety footwear and glasses are required. Prescription safety glasses are available at Clemco’s expense.

  • Experience in operating various types of lift trucks and other powered equipment is a plus, but on-the-job training is available.

  • Demonstrates flexibility when asked to take on new things.
