Remote/Hybrid/On-Site: On-Site
Work Location: Washington, MO
Compensation: Pay ranges from Pressure Vessel Builder I at $17.85 per hour to Pressure Vessel Builder II at $20.48 per hour.
Hours: Full-time, 6:00 am to 2:20 pm with 30 minutes for lunch at noon each day. There is also a 10 minute break at 9:30 am.
Workplace Environmental Conditions: Typical manufacturing plant exposure, welding environment.
Travel: N/A
Job Summary:
Builds standard and custom abrasive blasting machines.
Key Responsibilities:
Uses drawings and work instructions to help prepare Clemco pressure vessels for customer use.
Rotates in several areas of the plant (blasting, pot prep, hydro room and other areas) to ready pressure vessels and other products to be delivered to end users.
Attaches valves and other external parts of the pots using work instructions, videos and drawings to guide assembly.
Pays close attention to required tolerances and direction of external parts.
Applies labels, branding and logos to equipment.
Sometimes works in large, enclosed blast room.
Clemco provides personal protective equipment.
Following safety rules is crucial.
Takes pride in the quality of their work, our products and their ability to meet customer promised delivery times.
Uses machine tools, hand tools, multimeters, tow motor, overhead crane and sometimes forklifts.
Collaborates with others.
May assist with dismantling equipment after it has been tested to assist in the shipping process when necessary.
Proactively works to gain knowledge of other departments, troubleshooting standards or project equipment from drawings or sketches with the mentoring and guidance of more senior or highly skilled technicians.
Seeks out and implements continuous quality improvements.
Actively participates in LEAN activities such as PDCA, A-3, and Root Cause Analysis activities.
Demonstrates flexibility when asked to take on new things.
Ideal Qualifications:
Physical strength and stamina are important.
A working knowledge of basic machine tools.
General aptitude for mechanics.
Job requires great attention to detail.
Basic computer data entry.
Conscientious about safety around a busy manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills:
Must be able to read and apply electrical schematics, mechanical and/or electrical drawings and ladder diagrams within 60 days of hire.
Experience in operating a forklift and overhead crane may be helpful in some areas.
